<font style="font-size:12pt">注：瀛洲，是中国神话中仙人所居的神山。传说渤海外有三座神山：蓬莱、瀛州、方丈，为神仙居住的地方，自古便是秦始皇、汉武帝求仙访药之处，其上物色皆白，黄金白银为宫阙，珠轩之树皆丛生；华实皆有滋味，吃了能长生不老。《列子・汤问》亦有“渤海之东有五山焉，一曰岱舆，二曰员峤，三曰方壶，四曰瀛洲，五曰蓬莱”的记载。记载中另外两座山被传说中的龙伯国巨人钓去了守护神龟，因此沉没于海中，“仙圣之播迁者巨亿计”。由于台湾被葡萄牙人称作美丽岛，雅士时称台湾为“蓬瀛”。瀛州，也是对日本之美称，或作东瀛。<br>
