在今年的日内瓦车展上，全新福克斯首次亮相，而此后新福克斯将开始全球巡回展出。近日福特汽车（中国）有限公司董事长兼首席执行官葛致诺表示，这款新福克斯将于2012年在长安福特的新工厂进行国产。此外，搭载Ecoboost和Powershift的新蒙迪欧和锐界将于今年投产，福特中国还在酝酿电动车型的国产计划。<br>
新福克斯的动力将包括最先进的福特EcoBoost四缸直喷涡轮增压发动机，其中包括欧洲采用的1.6L发动机以及可供选择的先进DuratorqTDCi共轨柴油发动机。与之前的各类发动机相比，该系列发动机能将燃油消耗减少10%到20%。<br>

新福克斯将匹配最新的六速双离合式福特PowerShift自动变速箱。这种变速箱采用先进的双离合器设计--与传统的四速自动变速箱相比，仅这一设计便能减少多达9%的燃油消耗。<br>

新一代福克斯车体将广泛使用了高强度钢。55%的车体由高强度钢构成，而26%以上的车辆结构均由超高强度钢和硼钢组成--这比其他任何一款福克斯产品都要高很多。这些高级材料有助于使新福克斯车身结构符合全球市场上最严格的碰撞法规，同时还可以最大限度地减轻车体的重量。车体结构的完整性还反映在其优良的扭转刚度--这一刚度比当前北美的福克斯还要高出25%。<br>
