有一些仙人掌类植物的茎、叶、刺、花、果均含有对人体有强烈刺激的毒汁，人体被刺后容易引起皮肤红肿疼痛、瘙痒等过敏性症状。这种毒汁沾在皮肤上就会出现皮疹、红斑，甚至还会引起脱发。<br>

夹竹桃的花朵鲜艳，极易栽培，但其叶、皮、茎乃至花朵中均有毒。它分泌的乳白色汁液含有一种夹竹桃甙，误食会中毒。观赏这种花卉，不要接触花、茎、叶中分泌出的白色汁液。此外，如果接触过多还会引起呼吸道、消化道的癌症。<br>
含羞草 <br>
它一触即“羞”，这是由于其中含有“含羞草碱”。这是一种毒性很强的有机物，过多接触后会使人头发脱落或周身不适，千万不能因为好奇而频频接触。<br>
