秀山县中医医院成立于1983 年，是国家二级甲等中医院，但是一直以来因为业务用房不足和缺乏儿科专科人才，一直没有设立独立的儿科，从某种意义上说和二级甲等中医综合医院的称谓不相符。在县委、政府的领导下，我院新院建设于2018 年1月建成并投入使用，业务用房增加，同时在新院建设期间，我院重点加强了儿科等专科人才的培训及储备。在县卫生计生委和社会各界的支持和帮助下，经过近3 个月的筹备，我们医院的儿科已经具备开科条件，今天正式开科。<br>
秀山县中医医院儿科将立足中医儿科的深厚土壤，走中西医融合儿科发展之路，让我们共同努力，携手同行，为全县儿童的治疗与保健服务贡献中医力量。<br>

大家一同探访开科当天的第一位小患者。据家长介绍，她是在昨天听说秀山县中医医院开设的儿科将于今天正式开科，于是便带着孩子来看病。儿科开科当天同时也吸引了不少家长前来咨询、看病。
